Building stronger grassroots organizations
Across Kenya, many community groups have strong ideas and committed leaders, but they often lack the systems, tools and confidence needed to grow, attract partners and manage resources responsibly.
The AFCD Grassroots Development Academy provides practical online training for community-based organizations, self-help groups, women groups, youth groups, farmer groups, savings groups, cooperatives and social enterprises.

A six-week online programme that helps organizations strengthen governance, financial management, resource mobilization, livelihoods, proposal writing and donor readiness.
Proposal Writing Masterclass
A practical short course that helps organizations turn community ideas into strong concept notes, budgets, workplans and funding proposals.
Specialized Masterclasses
Short courses in financial management, resource mobilization, community enterprise development, monitoring and evaluation, leadership and storytelling.
Grassroots Readiness Bootcamp
The Bootcamp is AFCD’s flagship programme for grassroots organizations that want to become stronger, more credible and better prepared for partnerships and funding opportunities.
